Creole Stomp has captured the ears and feet of Louisiana music fans across North America. A recognized African Creole and French Creole Fiddle Master, bandleader Dennis Stroughmatt has journeyed to three corners of North America in his quest to learn about the music traditions and French culture. Creole Stomp keeps listeners enthralled and dancers in motion with a rollicking mix of contemporary blues, swamp pop, and traditional Cajun and zydeco music. Dennis' deep knowledge of the music comes from mentors that include Morris Ardoin and Canray Fontenot, Faren Serrette and the late Hadley Castille. Creole Stomp shows have become legendary for the heart and passion conveyed from the stage, music with emotion and energy that literally jumps from the band.

Bryan Headley/The Singing Blacksmith
Bryan Headley is set to perform at 1:35 p.m.
Bryan is an independent singer/songwriter from West Salem, IL. He is best known as an "Artist-Blacksmith" for his blacksmithing programs (of which he will also be showcasing at a booth during this festival).

Bryan will be performing his original song titled "The Veteran." This song has received much radio play locally, as well as on internet stations. The song was written about a couple of very good WWII friends of Bryan's that are now deceased. The performance of this song is sure to tug at the heart strings.
Cummins Municipal Band
The Cummins Municipal Band is set to play at 2:20 p.m.
On March 1, 1870, an association of musicians, under the name of the Olney Silver Cornet Band, was incorporated. In the early 1880s, the organization was enlarged and the name changed to the "Olney Cornet Band," which was the official band at the State Fair held in Olney in 1887 and 1888. Following several more reorganizations and name changes, the band became the Cummins Municipal Band in 1932; the name holds today. The band is believed to be the oldest continuously operating municipal band in Illinois!
The band is now directed by Don Graham.
